Gerkka could barely move by the time they found what appeared to be an abandoned cottage after just two days. It had a nice big shed outside with big doors Gerkka could just barely squeeze through. To'og stuck close to her, anxious, feeling helpless with his tiny size - even though he was still several inches taller than Torin at a solid six foot two. They waited a few more days, with Torin and To'og going out to hunt - which was a very big job, trying to keep Gerkka fed, especially since one of them wasn't really a hunter and the other was very unused to his body. It kept them busy around the clock, and Gerkka complained frequently of hunger, but they did the best they could. At long last, in the dead of night, she went into labor.
