"Ah," said Cinnamon, and snapped her mouth shut at once, not really believing that had just come out of her mouth. But she tried again: "Ah." And, "Ahhh!" And then, "I... am... Cin-na-mon." She could speak! She flew through the small house they were renting, crying, "Borovius! Borovius!" And she had never said his name before, and it felt strange in her mouth, but then again, words in general did - she had not spoken for over a decade. Borovius came tearing out of the bedroom in shock, followed shortly by Jessamine, Imo, and Hendon coming from their respective rooms, and he caught her in wonder in his arms, crying, "Darling, darling, what happened? How is this possible?" "I don't know!" she cried breathlessly. "I don't even recall what I was doing... Nina wasn't crying... I just-" Borovius kissed her then, long and hard, and she was so overwhelmed and overjoyed that she returned it in full force. What a night it was! She was completely bewildered at what could possibly have happened - had Belboz's enchantment somehow worn off? Did it have something to do with Nina? She couldn't even begin to guess, because every time she tried pondering it she got horribly distracted. Here was the thing. The thing that had been standing in the way of her return to her old life, for all this time, had been her inability to ask anyone for help. But now... She wrestled with this dilemma every day, and came to an absolute decision each time she thought about it, because Nina needed her; Cinnamon had a family, so Fred had to stay gone. But then doubt would return, because if she could return to her old self, he could slay the dragon. Now that she could speak, Borovius had a thousand questions for her that he'd never been able to get answered before, and, naturally, she made up all sorts of things - and then couldn't keep her story straight. He began to grow suspicious, that she was either a liar or a madwoman, but he knew with certainty that she was at least half-mad, and it didn't really matter; he loved her, absolutely he did. Cinnamon kept putting off taking any action, for all sorts of reasons, but the two biggest were that Nina still needed her, and she just kept... forgetting. Days would go by and all she could do was wonder where the time was going. She put off action so long that, all of a sudden, Nina was two and a half and they were expecting another child. Cinnamon felt a little sick; she had grown quite fond of Borovius, and she loved Nina, and she really didn't mind being Cinnamon, but... that quest had been Fred's life, and he'd sworn and oath. And now... And now Cinnamon had sworn an oath to Borovius. Nine months later, she gave him another daughter. They named her Charlotte, or Lottie.
