It felt shameful to admit, and she didn't know if she ever could aloud, but she loved her daughters more than she could ever love Allaria. Besides, what could a weak, ditzy maid like her possibly ever really do? There were heroes enough in this world. One of them would take care of the dragon.

She settled, then, well and truly, into her life in this family. As it continued to grow, it became necessary to get help keeping track of everything, because Borovius couldn't do everything himself, and Cinnamon couldn't do anything herself - she still forgot absolutely everything. As she continued to have children, it became very difficult for her to get their names right on the first try. But they knew she loved them, and oh how she did - she had chosen them over her old life.

In total, they had five - Nina, Lottie, Maya, Louise, and Harold.

At least, they had five in the space of thirteen years.

Cinnamon was 45 years old when it happened...
