There were significant downsides to this decision: he wouldn't be able to observe her until he took her back out, and the way this was going, it might prove very, very difficult to shake whatever form she eventually landed in. But he saw little other option, as her skin bubbled and writhed as if alive, and he went to his antimagic chamber deep within his tunnels, placing her inside and sealing it up tight.

He gave it two days, knowing she couldn't survive too much longer without water. Unfortunately, the antimagic nature of it meant that he hadn't been able to bespell her to remain asleep the whole time, so who knew what she was going through during that time. At the end of forty-eight hours, he ventured in trepidation to the chamber, afraid of what he might find when he opened it up.

  6. a long-bodied marine-looking creature with huge flippers.
  7. Hannah, looking perfectly normal.
