"Hannah?" Belboz said in blank shock.

"Yes, my love," said Hannah, rising to run to him. "I'm cured! You are such a wonderful, talented wizard. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Well, there's really nothing to it," said Belboz, who was still a mite suspicious, but easily flattered in such ways. "How do you feel, darling?"

"Perfect," sighed Hannah. "All is as it should be."

Tentatively, Belboz took her back to his main tunnel system to perform a few routine checkups and make sure all was really as it seemed.

  1. And based on those tests, everything seemed back to normal.
  2. And based on those tests, something was still wrong.
  3. As they approached, Hannah suddenly turned into an eight-foot tall muscle-bound man and charged Belboz, making quick work of him. The prolonged instability of her matrix had given her the ability to shapeshift!
