Three heads are definitely not better than one

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 118712

The heads all superficially resembled Hannah's, though their proportions were all wrong. Belboz was stunned, and began questioning the heads. At length he discovered that the one on the left thought it should be Hannah, the one on the right thought it should be Fred, and the one in the center thought it should be a unicorn called Stellunira.

This left the heads with plenty to argue about as Belboz sat there massaging his temples and trying to think of how to proceed. Trying to transform the confused creature again seemed unlikely to work. Separating them might be more productive; it would be interesting, because each head was really just a different fraction of Fred, and splitting him up into three semi-people would leave him much less effective than before. But... but Belboz's aim had been to destroy Fred, not cut him into thirds. Some fraction of his identity had re-emerged, and this was far from desirable! Perhaps a spell to affect only their minds would be more likely to succeed? Or indeed, only that mind? The other two could stay with no trouble.

At last, Belboz tried

  1. to transform the three-headed giant back into Hannah.
  2. to transform the three-headed giant into three distinct beings.
  3. to enchant all three heads to think they had always been in this form.
  4. to enchant only Fred's head, driving him fully mad and past any capacity to think or communicate clearly.
