Stacy, Saucer Pilot?

"Don't worry," replied the alien reassuringly. "At the correct moment, the memories will be triggered."

"Well, if you say so..." Stacy paused. Another thought had occured to her. "Why can't you just use that transporter thing and beam people directly down into the ship?"

"Because it isn't possible, I'm afraid. All our ships are shielded to prevent enemies from transporting on and off."

"Er... I hate to say this, but it doesn't appear to work." Stacy vividly remembered her own abduction from that very ship.

The alien gave a rueful sigh (causing Stacy to realize with some surprise that she was getting very good at reading their emotional signals). "Yes. Apparently the Raganians have come up with some new technological advances. At any rate, we will be able to use the matter transmitter device to transport you to the surface of the planet, but it will be up to you to get onto the ship. Do you have any ideas as to how to accomplish this?"

Stacy pondered this question for a while, and finally came up with a vague sort of plan.

1. "I could pretend to be a UFO researcher, or some other person with a legitimate reason to be interested, and attempt to talk my way onto the ship."
2. "Probably the best thing to do is to sneak on under cover of night. Hopefully there won't be many people there in the dark."
3. "What I'll need is a diversion..."
