make a convincing UFO expert. We will give you a miniature radio in
case you need to contact us - its messages are automatically encrypted to
prevent anyone
eavesdropping - and then beam you down to a deserted area of the woods a
mile or
so from the ship. It wouldn't do to have you materialise in front of
anyone."
Shortly afterwards, Stacy materialised in the intended location. It's good to be back on Earth, she thought. Fortunately the alien ship she had come from had had artificial gravity of close to 1g, so she didn't have any need to adjust. She headed towards the ship, and soon came to a fence that had been set up around the site. There was no sign of the crowd of people that she had been expecting; the immediate locality seemed deserted. Perhaps the ship had been discovered long enough ago for interest in it to have waned.
