One Stroke

Fred's moral code barred the thought of slashing the masseuse with his sword, but did not bar rough acts to get her out of the way. He closed with her and crouched. His left hand slammed just under her collarbones, and he hooked his right foot behind her left foot, and then yanked it back with all his might. She yelled, "What ...?" as she slipped and fell down into the water.

As water from the masseuse's fall splashed Fred, he centered himself and faced the dragon. It crouched, protecting its belly. Fred had caught the dragon in profile, with its tail to the right and neck to the left, but its head was starting to turn toward Fred. Fred's reaction - attack the dragon's neck!
