Quite apart from any harem overtones a captive breeding programme for humans might represent, Sir Fred is concerned at a more sinister motive that the Dragon might have for such a project.

A domesticated subspecies of humans, bred in captivity.

What would a Dragon want with such a thing? And for that matter, the knight pondered, why does a Dragon need servants, least of all human servants, in the first place?

On their trudge to the Dragon, Sir Fred notices that they walk past a side cave where more of the Dragazons are sitting, working repairing and sewing clothes. Since the girls are all naked this is puzzling.

Sir Fred tries to take a closer look as he is marched past.
