Master and Servants

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 117495

It was part of Sir Fred's knightly code of honour always to help a damsel in distress, and the princess certainly qualified. But surrounded by armed amazons, what could he do? He gave her what he hoped was an apologetic smile, and that was all he had time for before he was hustled away. He hoped he might somehow get a chance to free her later on.

"How long has she been chained up there?" he asked the amazons' leader.

"A couple of weeks. She has been most stubborn."

"So long? She looks pretty well, considering."

"The Dragon's magic prevents her from deteriorating physically."

"So why do you serve the Dragon? How did that begin?"

"It began about ten years ago. We were all originally taken as captives, but the Dragon soon persuaded us that it was only right that he should be our master and we should be his faithful servants."

Fred wondered how the Dragon had managed to do that. By magic, perhaps, or maybe by training the women to be submissive to him? Either way, it seemed that Princess Astra must have an unusually strong mind if he had not yet been able to break her. (Naturally Fred was unaware of Stockholm Syndrome, which might explain the Dragon's success with the women.)

  1. Soon afterwards, they reach the Dragon's lair.
  2. Fred is told that he has been taken alive because the Dragon wants a male captive so that his amazons can breed with him and increase their numbers.
  3. Something happens to distract the amazons, giving Fred the chance to try to escape.
