Nadia Discovers Them

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 115787

The newcomer, an earth fairy called Nadia, had been traveling alone for some time. She hailed from a very small fairy community many leagues away, which had suffered heavy losses from predators and terrible storms, until so few were left that they all departed from the area. Nadia had traveled with her closest friends until they had been killed by humans some years before. Nadia had tried not to hate all of humanity for the deeds of a few, but some part of her did.

She didn't often take refuge in human dwellings, but it was beginning to rain and lo and behold, a tower appeared. It was in the woods not too far from the village she'd just passed over. She was very tired, and quite a sight - her short brown hair tangled beyond belief, her pale red skin marred with dirt and dust. So she slipped in through the window of the tower to find a place to rest and recuperate.

She evaded the attention of the man who lived here and found a door to what appeared to be a storage area. Slipping underneath was a cinch, and she found a mirror nearby, and spent several minutes cleaning herself off and fixing her hair. When she was finished, she looked around the room, and suddenly a faint glow came to her attention from behind several boxes and vials in the back of the room.

She pushed past the obstructing objects, and found herself face to face with two of her kin. A female rainbow fairy and a male sun fairy, their hair down to the bottoms of the jars in which they hung suspended, apparently deeply asleep. Nadia covered her mouth in horror as she beheld them, and swallowed, trying to control her anger.

  1. She immediately left the room again to confront the man she'd seen, ready to use all her magics to force him to release her kin.
  2. She thought she could wake them up herself, but she couldn't open the jars. So she had to push them off the shelves to shatter the glass, which alerted Dalamar.
  3. She thought she could wake them up herself. She managed to unscrew the lids of the jars, which caused the glow to dissipate and them to drop to the bottoms, but they wouldn't wake up.
  4. She thought she could wake them up herself. She managed to unscrew the lids of the jars and do so.
  5. She heard the man approaching, and realized she only had time to wake up one. Seeing that the female's wing was torn, she had to choose the male.
