Mel and Bel. Melbel?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 115747

Mel went on and on about what a fun and charming guy he was and how Angela just had to meet him, but Angela was listening with only one ear. Magician? She knew it was silly, but she felt uneasy. Still, of course she agreed when Mel asked her if she'd like to bring Joe and go on a double date tomorrow. She had to make sure this guy was suitable for her best friend, after all.

They met for dinner at a nice restaurant, and Angela got to meet Belmont, or "Bel" as Mel affectionately called him. He was indeed a charming, quirky man, with short brown hair, a full beard, and a wide smile. Angela warmed up to him quickly but was ready to be just a little suspicious for as long as it took to be sure he was a good guy who would treat Mel well.

At one point, both Mel and Joe excused themselves to use the restroom around the same time, leaving Angela and Bel alone at the table for a couple of minutes. The moment they were alone, Bel said,

  1. "Lord Fred, we must leave, immediately."
  2. "All right, my dear 'Angela,' here's the deal. I have your precious best friend under my thumb. If you want her to remain happy and your friendship intact, you're going to do some things for me."
  3. "So Angela. Mel has surely told you I'm a magician. Would you like to see a little demonstration?"
