Of course, having lived in the area for as long as she had, Fred knew where the nearest neighboring village was, and since she had spent her whole time as Hannah extremely busy with the care of so many children, she had never traveled far enough from home for any of them to be expected to recognize her. So, after a day or so of travel, she arrived at the village of Lightbrook.

There was a market on in town, which encouraged her. Her first goal was to find a powerful enough practitioner of magic to restart her pregnancy and, two months down the road, restore her true form. Surely somebody here would at least be able to point her in the right direction.

She spent all day wandering around asking the same question: "I need magical assistance; who is the most powerful sorcerer you know of?" Finally, a man selling potions at a stall told her, "There is a sorceress called Jeppeline who may be able to help you, and the road to her home is not so long, but...
