Josh was an "illusionist," or a... a magician... a wizard? Fred tried to focus on that. He performed, doing magic tricks at parties and other events... He dabbled in hypnotism... It seemed like he was a lesser version of the sorcerers Fred encountered every so often back in Allaria. "Babe," she said hesitantly, as they walked into the house, "can I ask you about your work?" Josh kissed her deeply, and smiled upon pulling away, but she could barely see it through the stars dancing around her. She thought he said something, but she couldn't understand it. "Uh," she slurred, blinking slowly. "Oh, you're exhausted," came his voice floating around her. "Come on, to bed with you." He pulled her along gently, and she followed compliantly and allowed him to lay her down in bed. She found that she indeed was suddenly very tired, and she fell fast asleep quickly. When she woke up about an hour later, she felt much more mellow. She'd been worried about something, but couldn't quite recall what it had been.
