Stacy was relieved when they emerged in a comfortably furnished bedroom rather than in a public area, as she was still wearing only her bra and panties with Astra carrying the jumpsuit and trainers that she (Stacy) was to wear. It was very similar to a hotel room. She couldn't help noticing that it had only one bed, which was a double. Would they be sharing it? She realised that she found the thought exciting.
Then she turned to look out of the room's large picture window. In the foreground she could see the space cruiser that she had seen when Astra had called up a view of this reality when they were back on Earth. Much further away was a planet that she could see at a glance wasn't Earth, as the continents were different shapes. The world did look Earth-like, though: the oceans were blue, there were polar ice-caps, the land surface was a mixture of shades of green and brown, and there were areas obscured by white clouds. "Looking out into space gives some people vertigo," Astra said. "If you're one of them, I can make the window opaque." "No, I'm fine thanks. The view is fantastic! So what are we going to do first?"
