As Fred worked, clothed in a simple but comfortable tunic, he tried not to think about what it would take to replace his suit of armor, sword, and shield. When the sun began to disappear beneath the horizon, Fred excused himself, saying that he was exhausted (which was true) and if there was any more work he needed to do to reimburse the innkeeper for the tunic, he would gladly complete it in the morning. He walked out of the village, found a secluded place, and stood there waiting for the light to die, noting that one perk of this deal was that he wouldn't have to worry about finding a place to sleep. Suddenly water was surrounding him, his body was changing rapidly, and a scream tore from his throat unbidden. After a few moments he opened his eyes--or rather, she opened her eyes. Sure enough, she was back in Narissa's home, and the sea witch stood (if it could be called standing with her tentacles) before her. "Welcome back, my dear," she said. "Ready to get to work?" Fred frowned. "I've been working for hours. Might I have a rest first?"
