After Fred traded in her now-soaked tunic for more fitting attire, they spent the next hour or so rearranging the stone tablets (books wouldn't hold up underwater) in Narissa's library and discussing Fred's history. Narissa came to learn the true reasons why Fred had requested her help, and pitied her, expressing disappointment that a fellow sea creature could be so deceptive. Fred was relieved to find that the sea witch was rather mild-mannered and not at all demanding.

At one point, Fred asked, "I did lose my armor, weapons, and supplies amid it all. Some was destroyed, though the rest may be recoverable. Is there anything you could do to help me get them back?"

Narissa stroked her chin thoughtfully.

  1. "I could certainly give it my best shot."
  2. "I could try to recover them magically, and would probably be completely successful, but I'm afraid I'd still have to ask for payment."
  3. "I'll allow you some time tonight to go search for them before you return to land, but I'm afraid I can't assist beyond that."
  4. "I'm sorry dear, your things have probably scattered to the four winds by now. I might have some items in my collection that you could take to replace them, though."
