Stacy's Second Experience of Cryosleep

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 10723

"So this is the ship that's going to be used for the trip back to Earth?" Stacy asked. "Yes. It seems as good a choice as any, since we on board it now have a degree of familiarity with your case. Also it will avoid the need to transfer you to another ship, which is a procedure not entirely without risk." Stacy remembered that she had already undergone such a transfer twice, and wondered just how small the risk had been. She decided that perhaps she would rather not know, and allowed herself to be led in silence to the cryosleep chamber.

She underwent the now familiar procedure. [8867] When she regained consciousness, seemingly only an instant after falling asleep...

  1. It was to the sound of an alarm. "Again?! This time the alarm won't herald good news," she thought.
  2. It was to see the orb of Earth displayed on a viewscreen on the opposite wall of the chamber. It appeared that they were in orbit.
