A quick but dirty fight.

No sooner than Fred had made the wish Alicia gasps and points off to the left a bit of the bloody wolf. Fred looks and silently curses. A silver furred humanoid wolf. Loam, is laying prone in the shadows of a tree. A quick glance shows that Loam is still alive, but Fred can see dozens of scratch and bite marks all over the hug werewolf's body. A dribble of blood also is leaking from the werewolf's head. How......

Fred looks back at the bloody wolf, and blinks as he sees it shift into . . . . something similar to Loam, but with a MUCH more bestial form . . . . and a face without a trace of humanity in it. It's . . . . a nightmare visage. A nightmare version of a werewolf. Red, glowing eyes and slobbering mouth look at Fred and Alicia. It is full of hate, and very little intelligence. However, the club that is studded with . . . . metallic coins looks to need little in the way of intelligence to use.

"Alicia, we've got to stop this guy before he finishes off Loam." Fred says grimly. "He killed his bear friend with it, and he's going to kill Loam with it also." Fred wishes he could send Alicia away, to be out of harms way as he fights this beast, but he's become familiar enough with Alicia to know that's not going to happen. Besides, Alicia has shown skills and resources she's gained from her experience of becoming a werefox. One of which, is fighting.

The battle is fierce, intense, but short. With Alicia's help, Fred is able to wrest away the club from the beast. With the skill of years of practice that all knights get with melee weapons, Fred is able to cave in the skull of the beast. Fred limps over to Alicia, and immobilizes her broken arm with his medical skills her learned in the field. Then they both build a litter and put the unconscious Loam in it and drag him back to the village.

Wounds mend at an obscene rate, due to the lycanthropey. Soon, the three lycanthropes: Loam, Fred, and Alicia are called forward to see somebody named Carradene. He has questions about the battle. Seems that the sudden appearance of silver is most disturbing.

1. Carradene comes up with some disturbing ideas....
2. Loam wants to talk to Fred about something after it's all over.
3. Fred has a rough night.....
4. Something else?
