The dog quickly finds the source of the interesting smell: the fiery orange flowers that grow from almost every tree in the area. Cordana finds one that hangs low enough for her to stick her nose inside and sniff it, and she immediately regrets it; there is now an intense burning sensation in her nostrils. She starts to walk away, but suddenly realizes that she actually did like the smell, so she goes back for more. After several minutes of standing there and just inhaling the scent, she manages to tear herself away, but the smell wafting all around her is just so distracting and intoxicating. She starts scratching hard at her ears, and a terrible ringing sound plagues her. Her eyes sting from the intense smell, but somehow she still loves it. And imagine how something that smells like that must taste...
