Something just goes off inside of Cordana when she clamps her jaws around the flower, and she needs more. Way more. All of them. She eats and eats and eats the flowers, until she vomits, and then is exhausted and falls into a fitful sleep. She wakes up with bloodshot eyes and a serious hunger for more of the plants, which she does her best to fill. They start to burn going down her throat, but she has to have more. There is more vomiting. They burn even worse coming back up. And when she first sees another creature—a large hare—get near her and her flowers, she immediately tears it to shreds. Many, many days pass like this, and Cordana descends into a feral state. Her diet consists solely of flowers and animals that she feels threaten her food supply—which aren't that many, because animals seem to mostly stay away from this area. She also goes and drinks from a nearby stream whenever she gets thirsty during forced respites from eating. There are a lot of the flowers. It seems they never run out, as they were plentiful to begin with and they seem to grow very quickly. And they seem to be all she needs, for she can go weeks without eating anything but the flowers and never get weaker. She loves, absolutely loves the taste, and wonders how she was ever satisfied with anything else. She never has any problems with the other animals in the forest; if there are any big and dangerous ones, they leave her alone. Of course, she doesn't notice how big and dangerous she herself has become; she's almost doubled in size and grown extremely muscular. Her teeth are sharp, her eyes are angry and defensive, and her claws leak venom. The flowers have been her entire life for nearly a year when...
