Fred surmised that the likelyhood of finding a thief running about in the
caves was pretty good. After all, the hoarded treasure of the Dragon was
pretty legendary around these parts. Of course, Fred also knew that any
thief foolish enough to enter these caves probably was a rank amateur.
Still, they might be able to get this door open.
"Well, Velus. I just need to find a thief to jimmy this lock, and we can continue on our way." Velus whined and pointed at himself with his paw. "Yep, all I need is a thief of some sort." Velus used his paw to point at Fred's lockpit set, then to himself, and then to the door. "If only there were somebody around here to pick locks." Velus jumped up and down and barked "Me! Me! Me!" "Settle down, boy! Now, where could I find a thief..." Velus slapped himself on the forehead. "I seem to recall that there was a village boy who was pretty good with locks. What was his name again? Vel-something? Maybe he's around here." "Roo ridiot!" barked Velus.
