"Very well," Fred says, seating himself on a rock to wait. "While we are waiting, perhaps you could tell me something: how did the wizard kidnap you?"
"In my case he did it himself, but most of these children here were actually kidnapped by the dragon. The dragon gives them to the wizard in exchange for certain services. A dragon needs special foods and magical care for his scales, which the wizard would provide." "How powerful is Zendar?" he asks nervously. "I mean, how can I fight him?" Andrea sighs. "I don't know how to fight a wizard any more than you do. But I don't think he's that powerful. If he was, I doubt he'd have to ally himself with the dragon." He nods and is about to say more when he hears footsteps; he looks at Andrea. She nods: it is the wizard. He only has a few moments before the wizard enters.
