Managing to regain her composure, Stacy replied: "Yes, I am. I seem to
have lost
my friends. Have you seen them? There's a man with a shock of white hair
and three
young women, two of them with red hair who look like they could be twins."
Unlike the Bettys, Stacy was not familiar with Asimov's Second Law of Robotics: that a robot (or android) must obey a human unless such obedience might cause someone to be harmed. Thus she was uncertain what the android's reaction would be to her request.
