"That might be appreciated," the Doctor says while keeping an eye on
the
road.
"Slow down," Inquirer says softly.

The Doctor blinks and then nods, still not quiet used to the feel of
this car.....much different from Bessie that it was.
They pull back into the trailer park where the Doctor had left and
drive
around a few cars that had been abandoned by their owners mad dash at
getting away from Sigin when he had landed earlier nearby. They then
offload and head over to the Doctor's TARDIS (which was still parked right
outside the trailer). Betty looks longingly towards it (as well as
Ragan).
"I wish we could take Nova and Happiness with us," Ragan sighed, "but
they aren't my cats...only analogs of them."
"Hmmmm, true," Ragan put in, mind on a slightly different matter, "I
was
thinking about wanted to get my 'Indiana Jones' hat before we get out of
here....."
There begins to look like there would be an argument between the red
haired and brown haired woman when Sigin put in gallantly.....
"Mayhaps this will do instead for Ragan," the dragon mage puts in,
pulling out a hat from a pouch that looks to not be able to hold something
so large. It is Stacy Jones' (granddaughter of THE Indiana Jones the
famous archeologist) hat! She'd given it to Sigin to give to Ragan as a
going away present. Due to half remembered images of her grandfather,
Stacy had bought this hat since it had looked JUST like Indiana's hat!
Betty tries not to look jealous when the dragon mage places it on the
stunned looking Ragan's head! She then looks out of sorts as the dragon
mage hands a ATM card with a PIN writtne on it. This was the ATM card
which held that rather.....large sum of money that Stacy had somehow
acquired along the way......
The Doctor loses a step, and then chastises himself for thinking that
such things as extra-dimensionally large containers were only the realm of
the science of Galifry. He nods to himself, gladdened that this dragon
had
talked him into taking him along as a companion. There was much HE, the
Doctor, could learn from this Dragon!
That would be a change.....
"Bag of Holding!" Inquirer blinks, recognizing the meaning of
it, Just
like in Dungeons and Dragons!
"The role playing game?" the Doctor says in a distracted voice as he
opens the door to the TARDIS, "I've heard of it but never really looked
into it. Full of something called 'hack and slash' from what I've been
told."
"Only under some DMs," Inquirer protested, sounding hurt. "I always
viewed role playing as something akin to shared story telling with the
elements of chance and strategy thrown in."
"Same with us!" Betty and Ragan say together.
"That is....when we play TORG," Betty puts in at the curious glance
from
Inquirer, "We're familiar with AD&D but we currently are playing
TORG.....something that has elements of all types of genres in it."
"I'm sure we could relate, E'eysha put in," remembering the current
state of affairs back on Terra Prime. "Though.....this story telling
aspect kind of.....sounds appealing. Could we set up a game sometime so
we
can try it?"
The others, besides the Doctor pipe in that they were interested.
"Well, I.....Betty and I weren't looking to GM a game," Ragan puts in,
looking over at Betty, "We were hoping that Inquirer could perhaps....."
"Run a TORG game?" the AI smiled, "Sure, when we stop by your place and
pick up your cats and such. I'll do a bit of reading of the manuals and
such.....try to get a feel of the game, then I'll be good to go."
The Doctor has been standing back with a curious look on his face. He
then seems to make a decision.
"Do you perhaps have room for yet another player?" the Doctor asks as
he
puts coordinates into the TARDIS control column. "I rather find your
talks
about this TORG game has caught my interest."
"Sure, why not." Inquirer smiles, interested in how that would go.
Betty and Ragan smile and nod. Each figure that perhaps it would NOT
be
a good idea to tell about how one of their TORG characters was based upon
the Doctor in his FIRST incarnation (though it perhaps would become
obvious
to the Time Lord soon enough.....).
And I can see the Doctor making a character now, Ragan chuckled.
I'd probably be saying: No, Doctor. You *can't* have that many skills.
You don't have
enough points. Well, no, I know *you* have all those skills, but...
The Doctor an the others then wait silently while looking at the Main
Viewer for the sky to change.....for some the Transition event.
-
They aren't
disappointed.....
