This isn't rocket science, it should be simple. Indeed, what are they waiting for here? Seriously? Not like BOTH of them can be in two places at once so why NOT split up and one of them "keep an eye on us" whilst the other attends to rather . . . "pressing" matters? Of course, by this time Dr. Morbius had to throw off the funk that the G-man had managed to put him into with his rather overpowering nature and express . . .doubts about this situation. I mean, it does have an air of . . .the fantastic to it. Almost too weird to be believable, which I understand entirely. The man struck me as VERY bright. Not easily taken in by strangers bearing weird and fantastic tales. Oh, admittedly the strangers (US) are odd appearing and from out of the blue. However, as a good scientist as Dr. Morbius apparently is (muttered opinions to the contrary by the G-man) means that scientific objectivity/doubt must be applied and assertions proven…. . . . See, besides a few “parlor tricks” we have yet to really show HARD evidence of our claims. . . . And almost disastrously for us, poor Dr. Morbius provides a good portion of proving at least SOME of our wild assertions! His emotions must be running rather hot and high right now, due in part to the G-man’s accusations AND the smooth moves that Commander Adams tried to subtly use upon Altaira, Morbius’ rather beautiful (if slightly niave) daughter… Was sublte and not excessively sexual in nature. A tentative foray show of interest. Definitely nothing lecherous. Too many times I now recall how “my” Ryoji Kaji had been sniffing around the Geofront at almost anything with two X chromosomes… But Morbius saw and understood and . . .didn’t take it too well, emotionally. This was HIS daughter, by God! Hid it well, but emotionally did not appear to take it so well because . . .what happened next just could NOT be a coincidence! And by the way . . .we know that the G-man isn’t trying to pull a fast one on US Champions, in case you wondered. That blood contract prevents him trying to pull the wool over our eyes. He tries and he’ll feel VERY much in the way of pain, shall we say! . . . One of the reasons why we trusted HIM, though him claiming to be Krell is kind of a strange thing… Anyway… |
