Tabris “I still wish to but shall we do this at a more civilized setting?” ask Rei. “Over tea and such because this is going to take some going!” And that’s putting it mildly! Moments later… “This is Krell steel,” the G-man says softly, looking a bit ill as he looks away from the tricorder he’d used upon the steel shutters now blocking entry into Everyone stares at the shallow faced man in askance. Including Rei who’d been in the process of scanning the house for a possible way to either bypass the jammed controls for the shutters or just to find a weak point to force Morbius goes bug eyed at that one and then opens his mouth to ask the G- man just HOW he knows this, only to quickly close it. Best to not volunteer information . . . But the G-man does not give him the option to remain silent. “How did you gain access to . . .Krell technology sir?” the G-man asks softly in a deadly tone. “Sir, for all the gods and goddesses there are please TELL me you did not put the Helmet on. TELL ME you didn’t!” Rei and the others of her group are looking a bit concerned for two reasons even IF they are not exactly sure of what the heck the G-man is talking about. However, some have a feeling that it is going to be the other shoe falling. “All the ruins,” the G-man plows on. “No signs of other human life than you, these uncouth visitors from C-57D , . . .” The command crew had made a bad impression upon Rei’s group, offending their “muli-cultural” view on things with their . . .quant views on women and people of color. It hadn’t been overt or intentional, but the two men in question (Commander Adams and Doc Ostrow) had rubbed Rei’s group the wrong way, especially Tabris! Had something to do with a joking comment that one of them had made about his wife after seeing her picture. About her skin coloration. They’d thought that Tabris had been joking that he’d married such a woman and had children… … “…and a young female who’s over swimming in a lake nearby for SOME reason,” the G-man finishes up. “You put the Enhancing Helmet on and killed EVERYONE else, didn’t YOU!” . . . “Wha-what are you talking about?” sputtered Morbius, taken aback by the anger in the G-man’s shockingly green eyes. “What is this about the . . .plastic educator and how do you know of Altaira when . . .?” |
