Crude Manipulations

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 40215

"Oh my!" he blinks at the female Luxan now still chained in the place where the male Luxan had been. "This has never happened before!"

What and why?! Well, do remember that this fun Farscape crossover is having a close encounter with Game 3.

The brainsucker sighs, deciding to at least fall back to original plans and make the most of it.

Aiming his apparently malfunction gizmo at the PK zombie on the leash, he pulls the triggers (or otherwise somehow activates it....the exact trigger device was not clear on TV), he blinks when the gauntlet he wears only gives off a pathetic whining sound and it's lights blink. . . and nothing more.

"Frell," he mutters. "I appear to have been tardy on the preventive maintenance for my little toy! Well, nothing for it but to try to track down the fault and fix it!"

Yes, and so after--with a disgruntled air--releasing the chained PK zombie female back out into the corridors outside his sleep cell (they tend to be so rather messy if left alone too long in there), he goes off to one of the various supply storerooms, to dig up various pieces of diagnostic equipment as well as replacement parts. Somewhere out of the way (armed with a pulse pistol for Xarai, since his primary deterrent was on the blink), so he can concentrate on the task at hand.

And boy does it prove interesting trying to repair his toy. Doesn't take particularly long, but one must admit that it was rather interesting hearing various Earth songs like "The Bonnie Old Flag" blaring out from it unexpectedly!

Not that Kaarvok would know (or care) either where Earth was or about any old song from that planet!

For the time being, it's broken and must be fixed. Fixed to where it works properly.

But what of D'Argo? Did the Twinning Device actually change his gender? Well, yes and no. It's sort of like that bit of business that Ragan went through back when she first became a matching set for that "Twins of Doom" nonsense. The manipulation on D'Argo's form is crude and a bit lacking in one matter....

When the party of Champions come across D'Argo, the Luxan's just regaining consciousness! Come across the Luxan before Crichton's group, being that it was so true that the Champions had a head start on his group.....

"Who are you?" D'Argo asks, his normal rough (oddly American sounding) voice rasps out of a decidely female Luxan form.

"Oh for god's sake!" Betty gapes, staring at the Luxan. "I knew that stuff like this happened all the time in Game three, but still!!"

"No, not quiet," Frieda says from the side, tail swishing a little bit as she remembered what she'd read at that website after becoming curious, remembering what Betty and Ragan had told about it. "He....er..... Well, I don't know the Luxan, but she's hardly acting like a bimbo like Scott did when he got changed into a woman!"

"What the Hezmana are you talking about?" D'Argo growls, irritated. "Stop gawking at me and get me OUT of here! Immediately!! There's nothing wrong with......"

That's about the time she (for want of a better term) gets a glimpse of her body in the mirror that his...er....her captor has hanging in his cell!

"What the frell?" she whispers, stunned.

"Uh, first my dear," the Doctor begins, then blinks at the non- sequiter. "Uh, first Ka D'Argo, let us get your door open, out of those chains. Then we'll . . . see what else we can . . . do about this."

D'Argo has some kind of simple "curse" spell on herself, Inquirer puts in from the side, sensing D'Argo with her Mage sight. Part of it would be simple to break, but there's something else in the wings as it were. Don't know what will exactly happen if we break the first part of the curse with a "Remove Curse" spell.

  1. "This is so very typical," Inquirer mutters to herself as the Doctor gets to opening the cell door. "Always fun and games out here on the Quest."
