Of course, things are never easy...

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 35422

Chiana

A'eitia might be fahrbot, but she's quick on the uptake . . . She figures it out just as quickly as me and the others . . ..

These elves are the very people we are after! Drad!

Wait...

This is just too easy!

I mean that nothing is EVER easy.

Even after whatever that silver haired elfin woman and that silvery haired elfin man, Ti'mma and Hathar'ruil said telepathically/empathically (they call it "Sending) to those still dazed proto-Dark Elves to somehow trust us enough that they submit to actually being . . . . changed into (if only for a time) a set of that strange "Key" to the Dark Tower's Heart. To be able to keep track of them better (so someone cannot kidnap them). Inquirer has them in a belt pouch (and believe me, nobody but NOBODY....not even me....is going to pickpocket her).

There must be some kind of deep meaning to the fact that they, as "components" are stuck together so tightly that we cannot pull them apart. Something to do with a bond forming between them much like what I've seen with their analogs....

I.....

Nevermind, I'll try to figure this out later.... Now have a feeling on what John felt when he first got to the Unexplored Territories! I....

Nevermind. It'll come.

But back to what I said before.

Frell, do hate it when I'm right. We get back into the TARDIS and the Doctor punches in the coordinates for the rendezvous point where our Quest will end, some number of "light years" away. One of the elves had told him that the point was there and with the TARDIS it would/should have been a snap....

But I can almost see it now. Perhaps the coordinates (wherever they should have actually lead to) were to a point upon the surface and we'd have to travel down through theses caves and find the Dark Elves the hard way.

But you see, we only make a whining noise whenever we try to make the TARDIS de-materialize and leave.

We're frellin' stuck!

Sigin, upon casting a spell, almost curses and tells us some kind of containment spell (VERY powerful) was blocking our exit.

We have things to do here and it's gonna be a LONG walk.... Or perhaps not.....

Readings that the Timelord takes from the Control Column tell a tale. Tell just why this Quest hadn't been aborted just as soon as the TARDIS got stuck in this cavern.

See, the TARDIS can (despite interference with some of the more magical/exotic veins of metal within the caverns) see in orbit some kind of starship. That and that there is another ship upon the surface, not too far away at all!

A chance to success!

Slim chance, but all that they could see happening here.

Somehow, they all must get (after magically securing and locking the TARDIS from intruders) up to the surface. Get that crashed ship operational and up to that other ship in orbit. Get that orbiting ship to break orbit and get them all to the point they need to be going!

But first....how to get OUT of this cavern? Well, Chiana is a great distracter and attention getter.

  1. Would you believe that the Champions are going to, after detecting the search party of searching human servants (of the Living Mummy's master as it turns out), nab a few for questioning?
