Let us follow....
The Doctor's group?
The Doctor and the others soon are met by the leader of the Tesh.
"By the Creator!" Elrondir mutters to himself, looking up at the
man, "We're off to see the Wizard!"
The Teshs outfits looked like something like the stupid outfits seen
on the Munchkins of The Wizard of Oz!
E'eysha
Sometime I'm going to have to ask what that phrase exactly means,
I think to myself.
I know that it's probably from some otherwordly literary work, but that
is one of many things still left to peruse in the future.
Right now we have more important things to handle right at this moment,
taking care of Xoanon before he can take care of US! I just hope that we
can, what with us being a bit rattled by the unexpected surprises and all.
We all got a few surprise after getting up through the idol's mouth.
First, the Doctor, Betty and Ragan apparently were expecting to see the
barren landscape surrounding the ship foretold by that "TV episode." Nantucket
had been a rather unpleasant surprise, but we all agreed we had not the
time to explore this mysterious, unexpected town. I and the others weren't
exactly too put off by it (after all, we already had seen that real life
had departed from the script), but then when the "antigrav transport" (...."in
no time at all" indeed) landed in the middle of the town, the rest of us
got a surprise as well! Yes, I know that with the TARDIS we can travel
through time....but somehow it failed to dawn on me that we'd meet others
from Terra Prime's future! That surprise almost topped the shock of meeting
not only another Astra that had been transformed into an elf (slightly
different from ordinary Terran elves with those slightly longer ears, those
Light Elves)...but now that Astra was a male. Guess I should have
expected something like that being possible and shouldn't be put off by
it. Well, guess I have some time to get used to it before I meet her...er....him
again, along with that other Fred who's now a small blue haired female
fairy (which'll add to the species diversity of what had been initially
an all human family).... At least my new "brother" and his love make a
cute couple..... As for Elrondir, Inquirer, and the others familiar with
The
Dark Tower series, meeting the actual Roland the Gunslinger!......
I shake my head to clear it just before the apparent leader of a small
group of people who've just turned on the lights of this altar room (which
the Doctor called a Control Room also called a control room) comes forward.
"I greet you, Lord." the older gentleman of the three gaudily dressed
fellows (Tesh, I take them to be) says calmly as he greets the Doctor.
Now, if Leela remembers the warning we gave her mayhaps we can get out
of this situation with a minimum of mayhem.
The Doctor, being the friendly sort, greets the man right back, but
then pauses as Leela apparently makes a "false move" as some call it and
makes an abortive grab for her crossbow. Oh, she stopped herself before
she leveled it, but she's drawn attention to herself!
Sigh.
Betty
Sigh.
Well, the good news is that it appears that life is back to imitating
TV again.
The bad news is that it appears that life is back to imitating TV again.
The Captain of the Tesh seems to at least be more concerned about Leela
than the blip in scenery outside
-
Leela's crossbow
clatters to the floor as she drops.....
