Dr. McCoy stares first at the phantoms that are displayed before them,
then at the figure of the Master who's regenerating before them, and then
at his tricorder readings.
Flummoxed, the good doctor gives his tricorder a good hard whack on
it's side, and then just shakes his head. It's still giving the same impossible
readings.
He turns back and watches the events unfold before him and the others
on....whatever this is.
"He is regenerating," Betty-2 said in astonishment. "I guess
you just can't keep a good villain down," Betty-1 said, rather surprised
to find that her dominant emotion was one of relief. After all, the Master
had been quite happy to attempt to wipe out all human life on Earth. She
went on: "I should have known he would find a way to bend the rules." "Somehow,
for all his crimes, I should have been sorry to see him go," said the Doctor.
"I'm also pleased by the discrepancy with your TV show. I didn't like the
thought that the whole of my future might have been predestined."
As the Master's regeneration neared completion, they saw:
That the Master had apparently regenerated as a woman!
Betty and Ragan glance at "their" Master, and blink when they see that
he (she?) has transformed into the same looking woman.....blonde hair and
all!
-
Ragan looks
like she's about to say something (and looks like she's about to laugh
also) when she and Betty see their "twins" say something on the ghostly
scene before them.
