It happens just right behind the Master in the hallway...
The Master does a very understandable thing under the circumstances.
He glances back at the source of the sound, distracted.
Now, he's already seen the Doctor's new companions. Some appear rather
odd (the elves being the oddest ones with their rather large, pointed ears).
Some appear to be rather oddly dressed for the times, anachronistic (then
again, when one has a time capsule, anachronisms are a hazard of the job).
Then there were the number of people who were his old adversary's
companions. Many more than usual…..
However, the Master doesn't realize just how very special these
companions are! Sigin is older than the Doctor by a bit….and has knowledge
(magical knowledge) that the Doctor would just love to learn. Both Betty
and Ragan have knowledge garnered from countless episodes of the television
show that seems to follow his life to an amazing degree….and thus they
know things that could be of a vital importance. And then there are the
elves and Inquirer, the mechanical maiden!
Incredibly swift (well beyond normal human norms), the elves and Inquirer
leap forward and physically attack the Master. While they all know magic,
they don't wish to rely overly much upon magic for all their problems.
Sigin had brought up that point about how only the most amateurish of mages
try to solve their everyday problems with magic. It's dangerous for it
puts the magic user in a dangerous rut…..
Well, rut or not, the adventurers are NOT using magic to handle the
Master. Instead, they are using a more....hands on approach.
The Master yelps in surprise as the elves are upon him and Inquirer
yanks the control unit and Tissue Compressor Eliminator from his hands.
The evil Time Lord is in the process of turning back to handle the situation
when E'eysha draws her dagger....and brains the Master on the side of the
head with the hilt!
Ever the professional warrior, the elfin lass had only intended on knocking
the Time Lord cold!
-
"But....."
she protests as the evil Time Lord falls to the ground, shudders and is
still.
