You attempt to bolt past the Emperor, because even though he IS standing in the doorway, he's awfully skinny, so there's still plenty of room.

"How DARE you invade the Royal Quarters of my Shadow Cabinet?!" roars Cartagia, his eyes gleaming insanely in the dim lamplight. "You, a mere SLAVE! And an alien to boot! Did you think that they would give YOU advice? Were you talking to them?" He lunges at you and leans so close into your face that you can smell his flowery cologne. He SMACKS you across the face with surprising strength for someone who dresses and acts so feminine, and you fall painfully on your butt. "DID you?!" he demands, his eyes now huge. "WHAT DID THEY TELL YOU?! Did they tell you that I am going to be a God?! Well, it's true, I AM a god, and now if you like talking to my Shadow Cabinet so much, YOU CAN JOIN THEM!" He whips out a shortsword from beneath his long coat.

YIKES! You thought he was nuts before, well now he's REALLY snapped! You dodge as the sword cuts a deep grove into the heavy wood of the desk, then tackle Cartagia around the legs. He is so startled, he drops his sword. You grab it as you LEAP over him and dash out into the courtyard!

"SEIZE HER!" screams Cartagia, practically foaming at the mouth. His fashionably short crest is all in disarray. Guards are closing in from all over.

You need to do something--fast!

1. Do you attempt to take out the guards with your newly acquired sword?
2. Or do you just save your energy for your escape?
