You figure you're in enough trouble already without adding murder to the list, and besides, you have NO clue how to actually USE a sword. You run for your life and eventually manage to elude the guards (don't ask me how, it's almost one in the morning and I don't feel like writing a long chase scene). You pant for breath in a decadent pastel-decorated room, wiping the sweat off your brow. Well, at least your skimpy costume is light and easy to run in, you reflect. A shadow falls across the far wall. You tense and ready your sword, afraid you have been caught. "WAIT!" yells a familiar high-pitched male voice. You cautiously lower your sword as you realise it's only Minister Caldoni. He clenches and unclenches his hands continuously as he enters the room and talks to you. "I..." he looks nervously over each shoulder as if he is afraid someone might be listening, "I know what really happened, and I agree with you." He gulps and wipes his hands off on his wide embroidered lapels before continuing, "I know you didn't really do anything that bad, and I...I think the Emperor is wrong to want to kill you." the last words come rushing out as if he has to force himself to say them. "I'd like to help you, if I can. I am a Minister in the Royal Court, I have connections. But you will have to stay here for a while. Do you trust me?" You ponder this.
