| Awhile ago, in episode 7895, a young orcen shaman and Lord Sithe
were having a discussion....
Sithe turns to his replacement shaman. "Do you not have any ideas as
to what we can do now?" he asks with a hint of menace in his voice. The
new shaman, young and inexperienced but with a genuine gift for magic,
twitches nervously as Sithe glares at him. "Well," he says, "I did have
one idea..."
Lord Sithe's dark expression lightens as the young orc explains and
the evil orcen lord is actually laughing a full bore belly laugh at the
end of the young shaman's explanation.
It can be used only once, according to what his sire had told
him after his Rite of Adulthood, upon those who'd been cursed....but
then redeemed into the perfect form that is an Orc. It had been
used to quell corrosive dissent in the earliest days of this now Proud
(and Savage) race. Slithe was so used to these tales of might and magic
of the olden years belonging to ancient times that he'd not even thought
to order his young shaman to perform the process (for the good of the Orcen
race....of course.....and it did Slithe's base of power a bit of good....also).
".....they are of the lowest caste, milord," the young orc continues,
"That of the grunt caste....denoted by the lack of bodily hair.....as
opposed to what an orc of good breeding SHOULD be! Not only
will this bring it back in line, so milord can concentrate on matters of
military nature, instead of petty problems with rabble like that, it will
also be quiet effective in silencing once and for all the idiotic mutters
of them wanting to become again Prey....of the type the vermin call
Dwarf.
I bless the day when our forefathers made the Pact with the Brazen Man
and He brought about the change that gifted us with our powerful and handsome
forms. Our ability to USE magic, instead of spitting upon it and being
proud at our deficiency....hah!.....even our disastrous character of being
resistant to even the most useful of spells! Ugly as a
grunt
is, no matter how lowly their status within our society.....and now the
former dwarves that have been blessed......at least it's a step
up!
Thus begins a slow campaign of....adding certain elements to the drinking
water (much of the elements were of the nature in reality as what several
paranoids
shouted in ill informed fearful ignorance about fluoride being added
to American municipal waterworks).
