Once that day's session of the newly formed United Nations has concluded,
the news is passed on to the Regent and other interested parties. Dr. What
and his brother blink at some of what happens next. Apparently Count Probe,
Inquirer's father, had gone ahead and informed the Regent of Ethiopia of
events, but she'd had the Doctor repeat his tale for the edification of
the other rulers present.
Which he does....
"Although Inquirer was still clutching the note as the TARDIS and herself
dematerialised," the Timelord says, "she did show me what was in it first.
Apparently Inquirer isn't the only one to have gone with my 'brother'.
Sigin 2, Gilmuriel, E'eysha, B'Elenna and Elrondir have all done so too,
albeit in more conventional fashion. They send their fond farewells to
everyone, and hope people will understand, but they couldn't pass up the
opportunity of seeing the universe."
Apparently some of them already some of it.....
"When I gave Elrondir and the others....the elves the I'd met within
that Forest (re: 7472) I soon found them very special," Ke'lan says softly
as he holds his wife- to-be's hand, "Their hearts may now be elven, but
elfin or not they still wished to take up the lifestyle that they'd grown
fond of.....of wandering and adventure."
"Aye, I sometimes miss those days of adventure...and since E'eysha is
my analog/sister....." Queen Astra says softly.
"As well as Gilmuriel being my brother......" Fred the manfox
also says softly, worried about the noble female AI.
"Which they'd get when they talked their Teacher into checking upon
Dr. Who's lack of Teacher," Ke'lan continues with a slight, "Though I'm
gladdened that my suggestion to them concerning their desires for adventure
had satisfied several needs....Dr. Who and his companions in particular.....I
had no idea that something like this would come......"
I only suggested that they for I'm going out with them....vicariously
through the tales they will tell me and my love, Grailing sighs to
himself, remembering how his heart had soared when he'd actually began
and really experienced the world outside....as he never could under
the crushing weight of his station (that his parents....may they
burn!......kept reminding him of!)
Dr. Which looks like he wants to question the elfin Emperor about that,
but decided to save it for later....if ever.
Apparently, when the Doctor had told them about this Rule 1 telling
Dr. Who that haste would be needed (re: 8672) any question as to just "why"
Sigin 2 and the others hadn't stayed longer and given an appropriate goodbye
had become clear. Dr. Who wasn't in a position to wait overly long for
something like that. Not with the situation as it was!
"At least I and my brother will be able to find out quickly as to Inquirer's
health," the Doctor says reassuringly to the big Ai/golem (who looks exactly
like that chap, Arnold something or other). The AI nods silently, secretly
holding back tears of grief and anxiety.
The Doctors and Companions leave, but due to some Powerful interference,
they don't return until a week later (much to the anxiety of some).
