Alicia 4 In the end as Jadis breaths her last as Jarlath's last blow had broken her neck (not without a lot of bruises done to him), both Winifred and Aslan (who's looking a bit out of it still) finally make the scene. "Aslan!" I nearly shout, happy indeed to see that noble lion back upon his feet. "You're back!" "Yes indeed," Aslan says, looking at me and the rest of my group. "Much has happened since that . . . backlash for want of a better word . . . . when the realm of Addventure trespassed into the matters of Narnia." He then pauses as we all look at each other in surmise about that last part. That Addventure could do something like this isn't above the realm of . . . . blame. The lion then pauses, and we find that he's put Winifred under a sleep spell so as to explain the next part. She has a rather pleasant feminine snore, really. "She's not ready for it," he explains. He then goes on to state flatly he knows, now, just why we are here and that we are Champions! He also, now (he fails to mention just how) knows what part Winifred will be playing in safeguarding from any further mischief. He himself, who'd sang Narnia into existence, now had to run along here soon to undo the damage Addventure 3 had done to it. "Please do bring her back when you're done with her when and if you are able," he concludes, turning to go but pausing. "It is a matter of Ka, now, I feel. The children's fate had been to rule Narnia, but with things now, that fate's switch fully upon Winifred." He finishes that up, and with a flash we suddenly find him gone! ..... Well, being that Winifred is still asleep this will make the next part rather easier for us all. Rather doubt that if the situation was reversed that I would easily submit to being changed into some kind of small, blocky "component" without at least some kind of good explanation. And change her into a block we must in order to finish out this Quest. That's the way the Rules and Agents wanted her delivered, you see. Anyway, the explaining would have take time (and patience). Yes, Aslan did us a decided favor here. WE could have spared the time and effort, but now? Well just do our business, and when she awakes she'll be done with us (and us with her) and all will be happier for it. That is, IF the Rules and Agents return Winifred to Narnia after their business. Aslan had believed that she'd be coming back, but then again he appears to have been a low man on the "totem pole" as far as the power s that be for the Dark Tower if he'd been able to be knocked out like he'd been.... Well, nothing for it. We've got a Quest to complete!
Later.... Well, just as soon as the Champions stepped through the wardrobe door, briefly seeing the backs of the children who'd been on their way out of the room, they suddenly found themselves back in Nantucket. They handed over Winifred to the Celestrials and then both Manbear Synizn and Alicia 4 got down to some serious business. Namely, setting up for two important ceremonies. The first one was for Manbear Synizn's benefit. When his soul touched Alicia 4's, he'd seen (at some level) one very firm pillar within her life that kind of pushed him the last step, you see. While he'd been born a dragon and raised to revere the dragon goddess, Tiamat, it had been forced upon him. Meaning that if he'd refused, he'd been killed back before the fall of the Council of Wyrms. Even up until the meeting of Alicia, he'd been kind of....keeping on, but you'd not be able to really call him a "true believer". Kind of going through the motions, especially after his faith in Tiamat had been shaken by what he'd seen and experienced with the coming of the Alliance/Enemy war upon Terra Prime, years earlier. He had still believed in a higher power, but wondered it Tiamat was it. So when he'd seen within Alicia's soul.... Put it this way. Alicia 4 (like her analog sisters) were very devout Christians. Tolerant Christians, yes, but still devout ones, folks. Thus when Manbear Synizn "felt" that within Alicia's soul....
Well, now he's setting up with the church on the island of Nantucket to convert, you see. Well, that may be what SOME would have thought would have happened. Synizn, whichever one you speak of, is a rather stubborn cuss so doesn't switch.....yet. Alicia 4 is comfortable enough with that difference, though. She's patient and know, given enough time and gentle attention.... And Manbear Synizn kind of, in his heart of hearts, knows that and is....a little bit chilled at being on the other end of such a "waiting game". Usually, for dragon born, it was they who were the masters of such waiting games (given their long lifespan).... He and she do have a wedding ceremony, with Synizn deferring to Alicia over the "style" of wedding... But that's for later, perhaps. We've got a few more folks to follow in their Quest, eh?
