| "I asked you a question," the elven woman reminds her.
The Astra on Rifts Earth just glares back defiantly, refusing to answer.
"Easy or hard, it makes no difference to use, missy." the elven woman
warns....
More silence.....
Rugen almost gives the nod for Angela, one of Morgana's (the formerly
hooded elfin woman's) more aggressive daughters to lay into this.....humaniod
creature with the modified neural mace (with setting for both targets of
human endurance and another for superhuman targets) when Astra gives off
a happy shout of joy when her eyes fall upon the title of the small paperback
book that Rugen has in his hands. It is a small book by Christopher H.
Bidmead with a picture of a bearded fellow in black with some type of radio
telescope in the background and it's title is: Doctor Who - Logopolis.
"You're a Whovian also?!" Astra almost gushes, tense situation forgotten
for a moment.
Rugen and the others pause, surprised.
"He's one of my more favorite Scifi characters," Rugen says cautiously,
"Perhaps.....if we could start again a bit more.......er......friendly
manner? You must admit, sneaking up on somebody like you tried doesn't
exactly a sign of openness."
"And greeting me with arms was?" Astra mutters.....then tells her tale......
She tells of her catprue by the dragon of the Northern Caverns and being
rescued by "her" Sir Fred and Velus. She tells of how she and the others
killed the dragon and then began to discuss other things. Things of all
things like who would marry here! A bit put off by that and needing to
explain what must be done to win her hand in marriage, she explained her
love of the Doctor......
"Doctor Who?" Fred asked.
"That's exactly my point. You see, I am a Doctor Who fan." She revealed
a button on her armor that said "Paul McGann Estrogen Brigade." "And,"
Astra continued, "I had sworn since I was young that I would love only
another Doctor Who fan. So I fell in love with Sir JH. He is my first husband,
and the first in my heart. But he is trapped in the cave of the Witch of
the White House. If you are to marry me, you must free him."
Fred and Velus....are suddenly blinded by a bright flash of light,
as well as Astra. An arcane word is then shouted....and all black out.
Velus awakes later, alone. Fred and Astra awaken in a pyramid that is red
in color....
She finishes up by telling of what had happened in the Red Pyramid......the
battle to get out....and finally how she arrived here.....

must say I fear I am under some type of curse," Astra finally finishes
up, looking down at herself.....
