"No dear one, I do not think you are too strange at all," Lady Champlaine
smiles.
Admittedly, Annafrid's story was one of the odder stories I have heard
in awhile, but nothing that, in Champlaine's opinion, that should warrant
barring her from marriage to Jarlath.
Everything since arriving here on this version of her old world had
been odd. Odd, but at the same time wonderful..
She'd been mourning the death of her daughter, who'd seemed o have indeed
followed Fred....into death. Then, not only did "her" son appear again,
alive and well, but her daughter was returned to her....in a fashion (in
a fashion, for while Champlaine knew very well that the Lady Fredrina was
an "analog"....she still was her daughter). As well as all the other Freds
and the other members of the family.
Why should she consider Annafrid's odd story....grounds enough to bar
her from entry into the D'Honaire family by marriage to Jarlath? Things
had changes so much that not only was she accepting a dragon as part of
the family (strange indeed since D'Honaires had generations of dragon slayers
within it's lineage), that she was pleased and happy to have grandchildren
who were dragonets (By Odin, they were just so cute!) She had a
daughter-in-law (Hannah) who'd just foaled a lovely little unicorn mare,
and Champlaine was happy indeed as a grandmother several times over.
Before coming to Terra Prime, she'd feared that Fred would die in a
dragon slaying incident, and the name D'Honaire would die out.
That all said, she'd grown to accept and love them all. She liked the
others who'd the Freds had chosen as their life companions. Some had odder
stories than Annafrid, so why bar her?
So, after telling Annafrid about the family she was going to join (and
join she would, for Champlain had seen the look of love in Annafrid's eyes
for Jarlath), Lady Champlaine welcomed Annafrid into the family by giving
her wholehearted appoval.
"That done, we've just got to set a date, send out invitations," Champlaine
says, "Then there is a choice of wedding dresses....."
Annafrid smiled and told her about the dream of a wedding...and the
dress she had seen.

"That sounds
like a beautiful dress dear!" Champlaine agreed, "But let's go tell the
others before we do anything else, shall we?"
