| The fairy woman mournfully finishes the last of an ancient funeral
ceremony that had not been used since the day of the Gifting from the Gods
of the Fair Folk.
It was a great honor for another not of the Fey Folk to be given this
ceremony, but the blue skinned woman....had gotten very fond of the young
human lass the little she'd seen of her before flittering off to other
business (something she now regretted bitterly).
I should have given her that one gift that my heart told me I should
have..... she sighed to herself.
But that gift was only given to the Outsiders only under extremely rare....special
circumstances. And sometimes mortal hearts soon broke under the pain of
seeing loved ones and familiar places crumble and turn to dust....while
they live on....and on....
Immortality wasn't given lightly.
That and if the Gods and Goddesses didn't wish it, Annafrid would be
not only denied the gift but destroyed as the gift was blocked.
But be that as it may....
She then magically ignites the corpse of the woman who'd freed her from
her magical prison. Though she knew that Annafrid hadn't trully been killed
by the Dark Dwarves, she doubted that she'd ever see her benefactor again.
-
That's when the young set of
adventurers, being magically drawn to the original body of Annafrid (who'd
been Fred...then Hannah....then Helena in anotether body), pop into existence!
