I've just recently launched a new design for my webcomic/blog Cow Texas, over at: http://www.cowtexas.com
With the help of Sir Toby, i've managed to add an Extend-A-Story to the site, which i'm stoked about! You can find it here: http://www.cowtexas.com/adventure/
Only thing is, my crowd is probably a bit shy about adding things. If any of you would be interested in helping the story grow, I would be extremely grateful to have you join in!
Or if you also have a story, let me know and i'll contribute to yours also
In terms of showing the authors name, it was just something I commented out from the code because I was thinking that the anonomosity might encourage more people to join in. That assumption might be wrong however (i'm new to this) - do you think the opposite might be the case? Interested to hear anyone's thoughts on this.
I set up Extend-A-Story so that the author name field is optional. If you specify an author name, it will be displayed along with the episode, otherwise no author name is displayed. That way the author can determine the level of anonymity they prefer. On the stories I host here, I think most episodes have an author name attached. Some authors use a pseudonym, while others use their name. Again, it is up to the author to determine the level of anonymity they prefer.
I wasn't aware of that Toby, thanks for the heads up. And interesting statistic, definitely not what I thought. I'll get onto modifying it when I get a chance, I think it'll be for the better from what you say
