"All right, I'll do it." I sigh. What choice do I have, really. They'll probably just be harder on me if I give them any sort of trouble. I can't get the images of those poor women who tried to run out of my head.
"Excellent." the older doctor remarks as I lay down on the operating table. I shiver as my bare skin comes in contact with the cold metal table. "It's been a while since we had one that didn't resist." the younder doctor remarks. I look up at thw older man as he is preparing several large syringes. I've always hated needles, and seeing them now scares me even more. I look away, fighting back tears.
I feel a sharp prick on my right arm and an accompanying rush of warmth wash over me. I no longer feel cold, despite my state of undress. I also begin to feel drowsy. I can only guess they administered some type of sedative. They attach several monitoring probes to my arms, legs, head, and chest. They also insert an IV needle, but at this point I can barely feel it.
I can hear thw voices, dimly, as my vision starts to blur. "She should be out in a few momonets. Are the embryos stable?" "Yes." "Very well, let us begin then." At this point, I fall off into a drug induced sleep
I awaken....sometime later. I'm not sure when. My body aches from head to toe. I try to sit up, groaning at the soreness. Obviously the sedatives are wearing off. I look around the room I am in, It looks like a typical hospital room. The lights are dim. I am in a bed, there is a sheet covering me but I am still naked. I notice the IV stuck in my arm, leading to a bag of unkown medicine which is being fed into my system. My throat feels incredibly dry.
It is then that I feel it, a strange sensation from deep within me. I tear the sheet away in horror and look down at my abdomen. There is a very faint scar running in the typical cesarian-section pattern. My belly is also a good deal rounder than before. There is no doubt about it, I can feel the life inside me.
I am pregnant. With an alien baby.
