Only Two Choices?

"We will need a number of test subjects to see whether the human-to-dog or -cat transformations are a success before trying other forms. Baby steps and all that." He got out a handkerchief to wipe his now glistening brow. "Now please hurry up and decide or I am afraid I will have to decide for you."

Now if I am to be transformed into anything I would prefer it to be my decision.

1. I choose to be a cat.
2. I choose to be a dog.
3. I choose neither and attempt an escape.
