"There's one or two more," Amergin said. "But not anywhere near here.
The nalvir, for instance - I've only seen two of them walking this far
inland. They stay with their ships, usually. A handful of their scholars
will leave the sea - and a couple of their cults - but not many more."
"Are they like elves?" Amergin shook his head. "No. They're quite different -- " Suddenly he stopped, and glanced behind them. "Quickly, m'lady! Turn off this path!" "What?" "Get into the trees! There's people coming." Sarah hesitated a moment, then leapt deeper into the trees, away from the somewhat-beaten trail they had been walking on. Amergin jumped after her a moment later. "Why are we hiding?" she whispered. "There's about ten people coming. There's more of them than us." "You want to see who they are, first?" He nodded.
