"Her Beached Clogs. There are these people in a place like the one you describe, and one of them - I think she was called Christine - goes missing without a trace. That is, no trace except for her old clogs that get washed up on the beach. Naturally they think she has drowned, but

1. actually she has been murdered.
2. she has really faked her death.
3. she has been abducted by the Nommids.
4. Well, actually she does drown eventually, but not until she comes back for her clogs.
5. Josh Burbank got her.
