The Main Road

The Black Void - Episode 602

The main road leading to the mansion (or whatever it is) is absolutely crowded with trees. Random branches lay here and there, smashed and snapped off from passing vehicles. Belle picks up a shorter branch. She knew she couldn't fight worth a darn but maybe a good smash could distract whomever so she could run again.
Belle briefly considered going into the woods but again, just too many trees.
Belle hefted her makeshift weapon, stripped all the leaves and chose a direction. As she had been fleeing, thick white clouds had rolled in so she could not tell if she was going north or west of whatever. But away from the crazy man with the gun was good.
Belle hears a car. She has a good vantage point...she shoves herself behind a tree and peers out. Coming closer was ...

  1. a strange brown van. She lets it go by.
  2. a UPS postal truck. She hails it.
  3. a police van! She hails it. It is crammed with cops, returning from a training mission.
  4. a police car. With a dead cop in the passenger seat. And the driver has seen her. Belle climbs the tree.
  5. a blue sports car filled with inebrieated college students. Commpasionate, though. They stopped when they saw her, the girls insisting on helping (after puking). Belle knew that (for some reason) drinking and driving was bad. All those commercials said so
  6. a semi. Pulling tanks. Belle didn't dare move.
  7. Cool Hat on a loud motorcycle. Luck saved her from being seen.
  8. one ATV...followed by another. The one closest was hit by gunfire and stuttered to a stop.
  9. the Josh Burbank express.
