"Follow me," says the short fat guy that is sandwiched between two people
who could use an Atkins Diet. Speaking of the Atkins Diet, the short fat
guy would do very well to adhere to it.
I follow the short guy a short distance into a small non descript room that has two chairs, one on each side of a table. Sitting on a table is a cage that contains a cute white bunny rabbit. Next to occupied cage is an empty cage. Once the door to the room is closed, he sits at one end of the table and motions me to sit in the empty chair. I do so. "Ok kid, yer job is very easy," says the mob boss. I wonder what he wants me to do. Perhaps cause a diversion while he does whatever he shouldn't be doing. "I want you to carry the rabbit that is on display as the casino mascot and put in this cage. Then take this rabbit and put it on display. Do you understand?" So he wants me to swap rabbits? How difficult can that be? I nod. "Once you swap rabbits, you are to stand near the display and watch the rabbit. As soon as someone picks up the new rabbit and kisses the rabbit, then you are to bring the kissed rabbit back in here and put the original rabbit back on display. Do you understand?" Who in the world is going to kiss the rabbit? And why would he come up with this ridiculous assignment? "Do you understand?" repeats the mob boss. I nod. The boss smiles and says "I will pay you two thousand dollars when your assignment is completed. Get to work, kid." He gets up and opens the door to the room. This guy gotta be pulling my leg. I get two thousand dollars for swapping rabbits, wait for someone to kiss the rabbit, then swap them back? There gotta be something fishy here. Well, I certainly can...
