The Black Void - Episode 524

I read through the passage again quickly, mostly to buy time. Why would I even say that I could do this? Sweat begins to form on my brow, and I open my mouth. Suddenly, without thought, I blurt out:

"In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys said we're up to no good
Started making trouble in the neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said you're moving to your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air
"

I look at Mrs. van der Jagt, feeling myself tremble.

  1. "Very good!" she says without a hint of sarcasm.
  2. "Very funny" she says with a lot of sarcasm.
  3. "Have you had lunch yet, Holly?" she asks with concern.
  4. Before she can say anything, I use my mathemagical powers to open a hole in the space-time continuum.
  5. She says something else.
