Toby and Violence

"Shut up! Dont mock me, fucker!" Toby snarled, reaching into his coat pocket for his brass knuckles. He slipped them over his fingers, feeling the familiar weight and cold metal. "I'm gonna beat you from here to Albequerque!"

"Laughable. I wont even need to use my hands to dispose of the likes of you," the creature said, putting his hands behind his back.

"I'll show you not to trifle with me!" Toby roared and lunged forward, punching savagely. The bunny thing stepped backwards leaning away from each punch then kicked at Toby's head. Toby blocked and felt the force of the kick revebrate through his entire body. The bunny hopped back and kicked out with the other leg, Toby ducked and sweep kicked to knock the creature to the ground but it somersaulted away to land deftly and kicked a garbage can at Toby, who batted it away and flew forward to uppercut the creature hard in the jaw. He felt a satisfying crunch, and then an expensive shoe slammed into his abdomen. Toby was flung back into a pile of drunken hobos and reeled in pain.

The bunny spat blood. "Impressive. You managed to land a hit on me. There must be more to you than meets the eye. But no matter. You'll be dead in a moment..."

There was a wail of police sirens in the street. "Damn," the bunny said. "How unfortunate. Oh well, I guess the plan has to be changed a bit. This is your last chance to save your life. Forget you ever met me or saw that girl. If you get any more involved or get in my way again you wont live long enough to regret it. Toodles!"

The bunny hopped into the air and vanished in a puff of smoke. "What the hell?" Toby snarled. "Maybe I should lay off the booze. Was it a hallucination?"

He glanced over at the girl and saw that she was still there, unconscious and breathing unsteadily. He heard police car doors slamming and the loud yells of the police men. Here was his chance to hand the matter over to the authorities and return to his normal life. But something - some strange premonition inside him told him that leaving the girl to the police was the same as leaving her to the bunny creature.

1. Wait for the police to enter the alley and cooperate with them.
2. Fling the girl over his shoulder and shimmy up a fire escape.
